July 29, 2019 FHLBank Topeka Announces 2019 Second Quarter Operating Results

FHLBank Topeka (FHLBank) announces its 2019 second quarter operating results. FHLBank is reporting net income computed in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) of $31.7 million for the three months ended June 30, 2019, compared to $45.7 million for the three months ended June 30, 2018. For the six months ended June 30, 2019, FHLBank is reporting net income of $84.5 million compared to $85.3 million for the six months ended June 30, 2018.

During the second quarter of 2019, FHLBank paid a dividend of 2.50 percent on the average outstanding shares of Class A Common Stock and 7.50 percent on the average outstanding shares of Class B Common Stock. FHLBank expects to file its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2019, with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on or about August 8, 2019.
