About AHAC

The purpose of FHLBank’s AHAC is to provide insight into the affordable housing and economic development landscape. We partner with AHAC members to identify and discuss housing needs in our district (Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma) and shape programs to help address issues specific to the states we serve. AHAC and FHLBank take a collaborative approach to finding solutions to make the greatest impact with the funds we get to provide to support and sustain affordable housing and community lending.

AHAC is comprised of 12 individuals. AHAC members must reside in FHLBank’s district and must be from community (both for profit and nonprofit) organizations that are actively involved in providing or promoting low- and moderate-income housing or community lending in FHLBank's district. To increase the diversity of experience on the AHAC, FHLBank is seeking nominees with community lending and economic development expertise in addition to expertise with affordable housing. Three people from each state in the district will serve on FHLBank’s AHAC, generally for three-year, staggered terms. Current AHAC members are eligible for reappointment but may not serve more than three consecutive three-year terms. Employees, directors or individuals serving FHLBank's members in a voluntary capacity are not eligible to serve on the AHAC.

If you are interested in serving on FHLBank Topeka's Affordable Housing Advisory Council, we would like to hear from you! Submit this brief survey to tell us about your interest.

*Please note: Submitting this survey does not serve as an official nomination or application.
