Mid America Bank was selected as FHLBank Topeka’s 2026 Community Leader Award (CLA) winner in recognition of their commitment to Baldwin, Kansas, and surrounding communities.

The bank has made efforts to revitalize housing for low-income seniors and disabled individuals through partnership with FHLBank Topeka's Affordable Housing Program. Mid America Bank is also a strong advocate of the MPF Program and Homeownership Possibilities Expanded (HOPE), helping families achieve homeownership.

Mid America Bank received the CLA award at a private event on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. The event brought together bankers from Mid America Bank and FHLBank Topeka as well as Mid America Bank partners and friends.

The Community Leader Award includes a $10,000 donation to a nonprofit organization of the winning institution’s choice. Mid America Bank split the money between Baldwin Education Foundation and Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence for the honor.
